Thank you for your help to raise money for little Joel and his family.
Jammin' for Joel brought in $13,587.34!!! That only includes dance ticket sales, 50/50, raffle and auction items.
Gordon N Gordon and Thrifty Foods have helped out beyond the dance which is fantastic! As well, there have been many cash donations to the "in trust" account. Crystal View and Sooke Elementary have both done fundraising too!
If you would still like to help - please GIVE BLOOD!!!
Thanks again for everything!
Hugs

Jammin' for Joel II
It has been mentioned to me that some people would LOVE to attend this event again. I've had a few replies for people interested in doing this again and would love to hear if you'd be interested as well. I was thinking next February.
BUT, I have been approached to do this again in August with the same band!!!
Are you out of town Aug 15 or will you have more people around to join in the fun? I'm toying with the idea of a family event during the afternoon on Aug 17.
Thoughts?????

Get off my back
Certain people have been after me to update the blog again so here it is.
I need to thank Jenn and Tamara (otherwise known as "the twins" on Friday night) and their drunken stupor for selling a ton of raffle tickets!!
I am so sorry we forgot to thank Adrian Lise Drywall for providing the bottles for the raffle. thank you Adrian!!! We raised over $300 thanks to you.
Thank you to Bob for being the auctioneer!!!
Thanks to Sue Strugnell - PartyLite, Peden RV, Shoppers Drug Mark - Sooke, the unknown place that donated the big ass bag of birdseed, and Don Adams from Merritfest for the last minute donations!!
Thank you to Ken McCoy and Don Adams for the special guest Amber Nicholson. She was a real treat!! Thank you Amber for the signed photo for Joel's scrapbook. I just wish I got a signed CD for me.
Thanks again to Karelia and Liz for all the work on the auction. If only we knew how successful the night would be.
Thanks again to Karelia for selling over $600 in 50/50 tickets and thank you to Ken for donating his $308 winnings back to the family!!!
Thank you to Larry Travers, Angela Jay, Pam Bell, Jennifer Piotrofski, Terry Egginton and Kathie Dorval for collecting and delivering auction items.
A big thank you to Colin Graham for putting together the wonderful picnic table!!!
THANK YOU to all of you who bought dance tickets, made a donation, bid on auction items, bought 50/50 and raffle tickets, donated goods and services and generally supported the Dorvals.
Thank you for attending the Jammin' for Joel dance and making my first attempt at Event Coordinator a successful one!! I came up with the idea the day after I found out about little Joel. I had to do something to help and the dance it what came from that. Once my hubby confirmed it was a good idea, it blossomed from there. Thank you again for making it such a success!! On Friday Feb 22 alone, we pulled in over $10,000!!!!!
Thank you for all the kind words sent and spoken to me about what I did for little Joel and his family. I hadn't thought much about it until I heard your words and saw how much we raised.

Thank you to Terry & Bob and Kathie & Bob for the BEAUTIFUL arrangement and sweet card. You brought tears to my eyes.
Even though Jammin' for Joel is over, keep up the positive thoughts for little Joel. He is a very sick little boy who needs all our love and support for the next three years!!! This is very hard on Joel and Michelle so please think of them at this tough time too.
I hope I thanked everybody who helped make this such a success. THANK YOU!!!!

Just one more day!!!
Where did the time go? When I first came up with the idea for this dance I remember thinking how far away Feb 22 seemed. Now it's here!!
I am still in awe of the support shown to little Joel and his family. We've got close to $10,000 in donated goods and services!!! Crazy, isn't it?
Thank you to the Days Inn, Adrian Lise Drywall and John at Hind Sight Fishing Charter. WOW, that is going to be one good auction. John has so kindly donated 2 full days of fishing as well as accomodation for 4 for two nights!!!!
We'll have a 50/50 draw as a well as a couple bottles to raffle off.
Thank you again to Karelia and Liz for all your help this past week.
I'm ready, bring it on!!!
((hugs)) again for Joel as it's been a rough few days. Still thinking about you guys!!
